HB 3876 is designed to fix that by protecting your investment, ensuring consistent management of your property, and keeps accountability with a licensed South Carolina professional.

You may see messaging that suggests this bill impacts homeowners. It does not. If you manage your own property, nothing changes.

Dear Senator,

I am a South Carolina homeowner, and I support HB 3876. I hired a licensed property manager to protect my property, and this bill helps ensure they can do that without risk to my property as an investment in the state, while also supporting the professional property management company as a South Carolina business.

My property manager is responsible for my home, which is already defined under South Carolina law. Without HB 3876, they do not always control the booking, which creates risk. One property should not have two different systems, and without HB 3876 there is inconsistency. I want the local professional I hired to be fully in control.

This bill protects my investment and supports local South Carolina businesses. It does not affect homeowners who manage their own properties.
